Gaea Laboratories s.b
was established to be a Research & Development entity whose primary
focus is technologies (predominantly biotechnologies) in the areas of
clean/heathy indoor environmental systems with particular emphasis in
Surgical Operating Theatres, Intensive Care Units (ICUs), High
Dependancy Units (HDUs) and High Population Enclosed Areas. This
research focuses mainly in 3 areas.
1. BioMechanical / Mecha-tronic Systems.
a. Research,
development and prototype manufacture of equipment involved in the
decontamination of ducts (airways, tunnels, etc). This includes
biomechanical
robotics and head-up realtime
mechatronics.
b. Research,
development and prototype manufacture of equipment involved in the
decontamination of Indoor/ Closed Environment Atmospheres. This includes
electromagnetic spectrum germicidal irradiation (predominantly
UltraViolet
wavelengths)
and high end particle filtration.
2. Biochemical / Biocidal / Nano Chemical Systems
a. Research,
development and prototype manufacture of bio-chemicals involved in the
encapsulation of free
airborne viruses and denaturing of airborne bacteria.
b. Research,
development and prototype manufacture of nano-surfactant chemicals for
surface coatings in view of
denaturing airborne contaminants (including volatile
organic
compounds (VOCs)).
3. Environmental Analytical Systems
a. Research,
development and prototype manufacture of Analytical Machinery involved
in Air Analysis with view of
giving quantitative analysis of the constituent particles of
the contaminants therein
(asbestos, carbon, bacteria, viruses etc)
b. Research,
development and prototype manufacture of Real Time Air Analysis
equipment for Homeland Security
purposes – real-time detection of bio-terrorism
attacks (eg anthrax
etc) or large scale accidental biological contamination
Gaea Labs
is in engaged in these activities to further develop clean, healthy
indoor environments where people can live, work and play safely without
fear of the external environment which is becoming increasingly
contaminated with the debris of our modern industrial world.
